Shooting stars grow and flower in the spring and are found throughout much of North America. In this movie the flowering stems of a group of Shooting star plants are seen undergoing circumnutation as they elongate over the course of a few days. Note the small caterpillar that appears and moves on the leaves near the left bottom edge of the larger rock.
