This movie shows nutation of maturing flower stems of Arabidopsis plants. In comparison to the movements exhibited by the younger plants in the other Arabidopsis nutation movie, the flower stalks of these older plants seem hyperactive. As with the younger plants in the other Arabidopsis nutation movie, the images were captured every 15 min under continuous white light in the absence of air currents or seismic activity. All of the movements are caused by the plants. The movie is played back at 6 frames per sec.
